                Paintings

I create my paintings with mainly acrylic paints using a laying system. Firstly I make the background using various methods like dripping, scraping back, splattering, smudging and spraying. I often used oil based spray paints to add depth to my acrylic paint as the oil repels the acrylic paint creating some lovely effects. The background image is a combination of the above methods layered upon top of each other. Once I am happy with the background I will draw an outline of the image/images I want to create. Then I will paint around these outlines with an acrylic paint in a colour that is different from the background so it stands out.
